AMAZING 'SEA OF STAR'!

Have you ever seen amazing “SEA OF STAR”? It is seen with the images of the surreal beach inVaadhoo Island, Raa Atoll, Maldives. This kind of phenomena has been called the “Sea of Stars” by reason of its glowing blue waves. This phenomenon is produced by a natural chemical reaction known as bioluminescence, which is come about when a microorganism in the water is disturbed by ‘oxygen’. 

 These marine microbes or microorganisms are mainly called phytoplankton and there are a variety of its species that create bioluminescence seen in different parts of the world.

Dinoflagellates aren’t the only ones that produce bioluminescence. Other marine animals like deep-sea squids, kills, and anglerfish also have their own habits and explanations for making their individual lights.
